KIVA is a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as $25 to help create opportunity around the world.
Students too can benefit from this resource by creating their own profile and uploading their pictures together with their story. This profiles are uploaded on the kiva website where potential lenders will read and contribute. Go here to see a sample of Strathmore students who managed to get funding through the site.
